Thanks guys. The new refractor is certainly an improvement on my old Helios f.5. The images are sharper.

BTW. Have you applied a flat field to your images taken with Quark chromosphere?

Valery, The first set of HA images, the close ups, had no flat field. The second wider field set were taken with a 0.5x reducer and for these I DID apply a flat as they showed uneven illumination. I have a feeling that another reducer, say around a 0.6x or 0.8x may hit the spot.
