at least one who was happy with the weather

Unfortunatellty the nice walnut tree did not produce leaves this year, and has to be taken down.
(well it will give me a better view on morning sun, but still it is sad)
Rgrds,
Paul

Lovely proms! is this with the Quark?
Very sad about the Walnut, did it ever produce much fruit? I adore pickled walnuts but can't eat them anymore as they are always made in barley malt vinegar and Walnut trees do not grow in the UK
was it disease or old age do you think?

Yes it was taken with the Quark, but believe me, you don't want to see the raw images ...
Here is an example

The tree has produced many fruits, but not every year. (normal for Walnuts)
Not very old, i gues around 80 years. It got shoestring fungus (Armillaria mellea) (Probably the roots were damaged a few year ago by construction works next to my house)
Regards,
Paul
