Hi:
Still with foul weather due to Hurricanes, so the day started very hazy, then a lot of low clouds running below the haze and finally rain.
Anyway the seeing was not too bad, but had to cope with the clouds running in front of the Sun.
I used the Meade 102mm f/9 with the CaK mod from a PST, and the Solarmax 90-DS, plus in some shots I used a very old Uranoport 3X Barlow (the old timers probably will remember that Brand. Found it in one of my boxes and did not remember why did I stop using it many years ago, well now I know, it gives an out of focus image from the center out.
The Fathers Day session was difficult, because the clouds kept passing and had to cope with less ilumination and in moments could not see the sun at all, so focusing was very hard to deal with, but here are the results and Thanks for looking.
Best regards,
Eric.

A fine set of images, Eric. Challenging conditions, but great results.

Wow! some amazing close ups
I notice the CaK active region has an unusual dark rim round it in all the shots, never seen that before, a very interesting feature!

Alexandra and Stu, thanks for looking and commenting.
Alexandra, I also noticed the dark rim in the CaK images, and as you say, they show in all of them so it is not an artifact because I used the 102mm f/9 Meade refractor first with a 0.5X reducer at the nose of the camera, then without it and finally with a 3X Barlow with different separation distances between the chip and the Barlow and also, because the recording parameters were different in all of them.
Best regards to you and Stu,
Eric.
