A beautiful blue sky day here, albeit with some high haze this morning during my solar session and the seeing wasn't great with only the briefest of moments of average to good.
I spent most of my time using my 72mm refractor fitted with a Lunt B600 CaK filter to capture a full disk using a 2.5x TV Powermate, and a panorama with a 5x TV Powermate for a closer view. The conditions favoured the blue end of the spectrum. Switching to Ha I thought I'd push things with my 150/DS Lunt 35 (no chance with the 250mm RCT) but the seeing made everything difficult. AR 2713 on the limb was putting on a good show in Ha with some fine looping proms and an undesignated active region with bright plage in CaK looked pretty spectacular close up in Ha. I couldn't get anything worth showing of AR 2715 for some reason.
Anyhow, here they are......

Fantastic images, Stu, all of them. You made my day ! Incredible chromosphere detail, awesome prominences and very sharp disks....
You had a great session

Looking good Stu. I showed CaK on the laptop screen to people today at Keele. Your images came out well, I do like the Ha shots in particular.

Excellent images Stu. Watching this prominence region during the cloud breaks today. It’s a dynamic one for sure.

Cracking shots Stuart, I love the close up of the active region on the limb, I love the wispy loops, that is a superb capture

Re: Sunday Sun 24th June
Many thanks, everyone. Some days the Sun puts on a beautiful display. I was lucky enough to capture some of the action.
