Saturday Sun 30th June

Post by Carbon60 »

Another beautiful blue sky day and an opportunity to see and image the outgoing unnamed active region before it rounds the bend.

With the hot weather we're having, the air was swimming, even early morning around 9:00am, making focusing and imaging a little tricky. Here goes.....

150mm/ DS Lunt35 with acA1920-155um camera and 2.5X TV Powermate.
AS!3, Imppg and PixInsight

Great chromosphere images, Stu, very 3D. I am partial to the mono versions, as I think they show more drama and texture.

I agree, Franco. I think I could have processed the colour ones a bit better to preserve some of the detail.

Some very nice feathery detail in the spicule grass, something we will have to get used to enjoying :bow

I had exactly the same with the seeing Stuart, it was too hot by 9am when I started, I should have been up earlier. I gave up after 1hr with the C11, I also started to feel unwell and that didn't help either. I was really sick by lunchtime and missed the circus, I was so disappointed as I have been looking forward to that for weeks :( what a bad day! The Hubby and my mother enjoyed the show though ;)
