July 4th SM40 FD not much going on ...

Not a lot going on but I got the SM40/62mm Petzval combo out at lunchtime.
100 frames stacked from 1200 frame SER using PGR G3.

Your details are very fine.
Can you give a try on the protuberances?
There is probably more to see there.

I have been experimenting with varying the gamma on my captures. My current setting favours disk detail but makes it difficult to
bring out the prom details without a lot of noise. I will need to experiment more to do a better ( more complete ) job.

All the time it is so dry there is still a risk that the wind will change direction, but there is a main road between Saddleworth and our immediate
moorland. So hopefully there is not any particular danger.
Mind you, there is a smell of burning coming from the Winter Hill fires this morning.
