Ha Full Disk 11th July
Tried imaging the spotless active region in Na this morning with the HaT to no avail, but later got a quick full disk with the single stacked 50mm Lunt etalon with the PGR Ch3.

It's a quiet disk at the moment but there were plenty of whispy proms to look at.

Nicely detailed disk, Mark. It would be interesting if this AR developed into something more complex. Not sure how they generally evolve.
Cheers, Peter.

Re: Ha Full Disk 11th July
That is a very nice disk Mark.
I might have missed it but have you sorted out the problems you were having with the 50mm ?
Best wishes,
David

Hi, Mark
No matter how few events there are on the sun, I would never be so complacent as not setting up on a clear day to see what's there because, sometimes, the sun disappears for long periods in bad weather.

Re: Ha Full Disk 11th July
Thanks everyone! I have been 'experimenting' with my 50mm full disk setups. My LS50 scope i've identified the etalon is a sloppy fit in the chamber it sits in; i've solved this laterally but need to tweak things in the opposite axis. I think ultimately i'm going to mate this etalon to the HaT, I think it will be a nicely performing setup, but there is more work to do to get to this point.
