The conditions for the imaging session on July 13 were worse than during my previous post with variable haze providing brief glimpses of the sun at times and other times blocking it almost completely. This is when a fast frame rate camera really shines. At 60 fr/s 600 frames were recorded in 10 s.
Both images below came from the best of 4 avi files taken with a Blackfly S (5Mp) at an ROI of 3.1 Mp on a Lunt 152.

For now, my standard setup for these high res views is a Lunt 152 double stacked with a Quark Chromosphere recorded on a new Blackfly S (5Mp) camera. The effective focal length is 3800 mm which seems to be ideal for the conditions I experience here in southern Ontario, Canada.
I also have a c9.25 with full aperture ERF + 3X telecentric which has not seen much use yet. The main issue being the 6900 mm efl is too high.
Just yesterday(July 14), I picked up a 0.8X c mount focal reducer which mounts directly on the camera before the camera snout. I plan to add a spacer between the camera and this reducer to knock down the reduction factor to 0.7X to give a focal length of about 4800 mm. This reducer doesn't affect the f/10 light cone coming into the telecentric lens.
To process, I use AstraImage exclusively for its LR deconvolution and then medium and large wavelets settings. Sometimes, aggressive use of deconvolution and wavelets produces good results especially for marginal quality images.
I wish I had discovered AstraImage earlier.
