Sol from the 22nd of July 2018.

Post by eroel »

Hello:
Today as usual in these dates it was hazy and cloudy, started early but then it covered all over.
There is a high haze all the time as the photo shows, and it makes the recording of the prominences difficult.
Just had time to use the Solarmax 90-DS for Ha FD´s and closeups and the 102mm f/9 Meade for CaK.
Thanks for looking,
Eric.

Beautiful images, Eric.
The haze doesn’t seem to harm your imaging too much. I’ve heard that slight haze actually stabilizes the atmosphere somewhat so that you’re gaining a seeing improvement at the expense of the capture of very fine detail.

Cheers, Peter.

Pedro:
Thanks for that, BTW, my wife, daughter and grandchildren will be in Lisboa from the 28th till the 30th of July, is there a chance that they could meet you to see your observatory?
If so, please let me know.
Fuerte abrazo,
Eric.
