July 24th

Post by robert »

No heat wave in the north west of the UK. Windy and cool. It has been misty and wet for days but this morning the sun shone between clouds. I did a full disk and then noticed that the seeing, despite the wind, was pretty good, 1- 1.5 on the SSM. I tried the SW200 Newtonian with Astrosolar ND3.8, Televue x5, UV/IR cut and Continuum filters with PGR Chameleon 3. I was surprised and pleased by the result

Lovely disk and granulation. What part of the continuum (wavelength) were you looking at?

Cheers, Peter.
