Grasshopper3 setup. Using the LUT function in Flycapture

Post by coles44 »

I have had some issues with over exposed areas on solar images and thought the LUT function might help in lowering the sensitivity at the high end and raising it at the low end. Does anyone have experience in using LUT setup in Flycapture for this purpose? If so, any guidance would be appreciated. Also if there is a better way to handle this issue, please let me know.

Thanks. Eric

I wouldn't use flycapture at all, use firecapture and just drop your exposure. It could be the overexposed areas are a result of the tuning being off?

I installed Firecapture, but it would not connect to the camera. I copied the files over as instructed, but no connection. Any suggestions?

Did you install the x64 versions of all the software?

Yes. Is that an issue?

No issue then, sometimes there are conflicts when x32 and x64 versions of software are installed for different things. Might help if you post some pics of the issues you are getting.

It looks like what I should do is get Firecapture to work with the Grasshopper3.
