Finally had good enough seeing the other night (although not for very long!) to tweak the collimation on the Meade 10" on an actual star. Not far off, but it seems to have made a significance difference in sharpness, most noticeably on proms.
Now we know from whence dragons come...

Hi Alex,
I used Photoshop's MagicWand selection tool to select pixels of the brightness of the disk, so it follows the brightness outline. I did smooth and feather it a bit. I was too lazy to shrink the image and try to draw a circle of the correct size like I usually do to blot out the disk. I should probably just do that and save it somewhere for quick and easy import if I decide to stick with this image scale.
