Hi Pedro...

Nice sharp full disk images and the granulation jumps out as you go to longer focal lengths. Well done :bow

Pedro that 140mm is an optimal size for granulation.

You're absolutely right, it is a great match for the seeing I have most of the times

You've got some excellent images there Pedro, and some excellent seeing too. Here's my graph from friday morning waiting for the clouds to break:

Imagessm by Mark Townley, on Flickr

I think you could probably be a bit harder on your capture settings with the SSM given your excellent seeing; i'd try trigger limit of 1" and cutoff threshold of 1.5", I still think you would get a decent amount of data to work from. What does the quality graph look like with the 5x powermate shots?

Excellent set of images, Pedro. Those granulation shots really do 'pop'.

Between you and Mark, I'm now convinced that I should try auto imaging based on SSM input.
