Sunday Sun 5th August

Post by Carbon60 »

A blue sky morning and an opportunity to capture some images before the conditions changed for the worse. The seeing was pretty variable, with the SSM bouncing between mostly 2.5 and 3.5 arc seconds with very occasional dips to 1.6.

First up a Ha FD in mono and colour captured on my DS Lunt 60.

And a closer view of the active region using my DS 150/Lunt35

and in colour....

Then over to the blue end.

Beautiful! The close ups at 150 are really nice indeed :bow I had an hour of decent sunshine yesterday morning too, seeing quickly deteriorated though, I was glad I was ready as soon as the cloud cleared.
