A beautiful evening when I got home from work gave me the opportunity for a quick session in Ha and CaK, although my Ha FD didn't quite work out as planned. I think either the seeing dropped off rapidly mid mosaic, or the fine focus slipped. Whatever, it meant that when I came to process and assemble the mosaic, part of the bottom half came out 'fuzzy' and no amount of 'correcting' in ImPPG, or re-processing in AS!3 could solve the issue. Hence the cropped 'panorama' shot.

So, a botched Ha 'FD'....

I was really strapped for time, so I only took one set of mosaic images, unfortunately, and couldn't repeat the two bottom frames that failed to process well.
And in CaK a two pane mosaic.

Then I had to pack up.
Thanks for looking.

Good results Stu. I rarely do mosaics now because of the variability of outcome I get between panes.

I like your images, Stu. But always waiting for the images taken with your big solar gun - a 10" RC.

Re: Sun in Ha and CaK 8th Aug
Many thanks, Raf, Franco and Valery.
Valery, I'd love to do more with the big RCT; it's a question of opportunity. Our weather has either been too warm, giving really bad seeing from my location, or, more reasently, too cloudy. On good days I've been at work.
I thought I might have had a chance this morning, but, alas, the clouds are rolling in again.
