First try @CAK

Post by bart1805 »

Just recently bought a Lunt LS60t CAK and tried it today for the first time. In the normal configuration and by using the CAK unit (B600) in the Skywatcher 150mm f/8. Quality of the Skywatcher was better when used at 60mm compared to the Lunt. Tried it at 80mm and at 100mm but the seeing was not good enough.
First image is f/20. For the second image I used a Televue Powermate 2x, so at f/40. Images processed in Photoshop. Quite happy with it!
The Camera is a PGR Grasshopper with the IMX174.

Having problems with my 60mm doublestack Lunt (banding). So screwed the 50mm frontetalon on the LuntLS60T CAK and tried it out. The 50mm does not seem to be the problem.
Thanks for looking! Bart.

Nice images, very crisp. I think you can increase aperture up to 100mm without any significant loss of contrast, look forward to see your results.
