A random area at the Sun chromosphere in CaK with 280mm C11

Post by Valery »

Hi all,

Today was a relatively poor seeing morning. However some movies are worth to process.
Transparency was poor and I were need to maximize the gain to get enough brightness at 6ms exposure.

Here is a random area near the center of the Sun disk in CaK. The scale is small due to poor seeing.

280mm F/10 Celestron equipped with the ARIES two band full size DERF, CaK PST etalon and Basler 1920-155 camera.

Thanks for looking.

Valery

This is amazing, Valery.

It compares very favourably with the Dutch Open Telescope shot posted by Frank in this thread:

Cheers, Peter.

Fantastic, Valery! As Peter said, close to the DOT pictures, as far as I can tell!

I guess you are not really serious about the "relatively poor seeing", are you? Would you mind to tell about your way of processing?

Regards,

Frank

Awesome image, Valery.

Looking at this, I'd swap my poor seeing for yours any day ;)

No, Alexandra. The seeing was average, while not poor.
