Sun in CaK 5th September

Post by Carbon60 »

A very quick session after work just minutes before the sky turned milky right in the wrong place.

Lunt B600 on a 72mm f6 refractor plus Baader K-line.
Basler acA1920-155um with 1.5X Barlow
AS!3 stacking, Imppg deconvolution.

Nice ones Stu! Do you screw the K-line in the nosepiece of the camera?

Hi Bart, yes, directly into the nosepiece. I'm not sure yet just how much of a difference it makes, other than increasing the exposure time. The conditions deteriorated before I could run side-by-side comparisons.

Many thanks, everyone.

Alexandra, it's getting more and more difficult as the season matures and I have to find the right gaps between houses and trees in order to get a clear view.
