Chromosphere September 16th

Post by ffellah »

Hello everybody: I was out this morning for a quick session. I scanned the disk and I found only one small active region, in the first two images. The last two are wider views of the chromosphere.

Seeing quickly deteriorated around 10:00AM.

Clear skies to all

Franco

Very nice images, Franco.
I guess we’re stuck with small ARs for a while!
Cheers.

Small AR's are fine!

They looks even better with larger telescopes and not less impressive than large spots in small telescopes.

Nice set of images, Franco. Good to see some activity at any scale.

Thank you, Alessandra and Raf, for your nice comments. Alessandra: I was not aware of that small AR but was happy to find it....any surface feature is very welcome these days.

Thank you, Brian !

I was looking at this image a bit more closely and it seems to have almost like an oval pattern around the central active area. Is this just my imagination ?

Hi Franco...

I missed replying about the oval but there certainly seems to be a pattern there.
