A variety from Sept 16 (with Gates of H*ll image)

Post by gabrieli »

It seems that this year the time between acceptable seeing sessions is longer than previous years. The following were recorded just after noon local time and 2/3 of the files were rejected but heavy processing salvaged a few. All files were taken with an LS152 double stacked with a Quark Chromosphere on a 5Mp Blackfly S at 50 fr/s. The 4th image down reminds me of the Gates of Hell (not my words), in the the garden of the Rodin house in Paris with contorted human figures (maybe it's just me).

It was difficult to find an image of the detail I was thinking about from the lower part of this unfinished Rodin work. Most images are of the entire piece and photographed in harsh lighting. It was meant to be the entrance to a decorative arts museum on the same site as the present Orsay museum but before it was a railway station. Anyway, here is an image of tha Gates:

Lou:
In spite of heavy processing, the session came up nice and what a door.
Best regards,
Eric.
