H-alpha images of September
Not much details to image on the disc this month however in the past weeks some beautiful prominences were visible on the limb. I imaged some of the them with my Lunt-mod. refractor, these are from the 9th
day 10th
day 11th, quite spectacular at the eyepiece
day 14th (were better on the 13th but I missed the opportunity)
and a small active region without spots
Thanks for looking!Raf

Excellent results, Raffaello ! Both prominences and surface close-up. I also like the red color for the prominences, it adds a bit of drama.

Thanks Alexandra and Franco, prominences are not my specialty and I always find difficult to image them, your appreciation makes me really happy

Re: H-alpha images of September
Very nice indeed, Raf. No chance of imaging anything at the moment with the weather and work.
You've brought out some really spectacular fine details in those various proms.
Stu.

Re: H-alpha images of September
Thanks Stu, there were few days of high activity at the limb, I missed the 13th that was the most spectacular.
Here the weather is sunny since too many weeks, we are experiencing an unusually hot September and tiger mosquitos are becoming a real scourge, imaging the Sun outdoor requires a preventive bathe in a repellent...

Great shots on all of these Raf, but a few of the proms came out exceptionally sharp. Well done
