Prominences saved the day (Sept 28)

Post by gabrieli » Sat Sep 29, 2018 12:42 pm

Here's a full disk mosaic taken with an LS80 on a 6Mp Grasshopper3.
Once again, I set up my high res setup with a c9.25 but the conditions were not suitable to produce good images and visually showed sporadic details.
The second image is shown below as a sample taken with a full aperture ERF on a c9.25 + 2X Powermate + Quark Combo. The quality
is poor but the proms I saw were fairly bright.

Hi Lou...

Great FD mosaic, and proms have been the main object of late the view or image. I like the on filaments in the lower disk as well.

Seeing hasn't been very cooperative for me lately either, but nice to see you at least got one prom off the C9.25.
