AR2724 & AR2725 & FilaProm at 120mm, Full Disc | HA | Oct 15th 2018

Heya,

Another lovey clear morning with good seeing. But, very little going on with our star. There's a filaprom that is interesting as it transitions. Maybe it will be really interesting tomorrow or the day after, though I'll be at work for that unfortunately, so hopefully someone else takes a look. It's a nice large filament so it may result in a pretty cool filaprom over the next day or two. I have it here as it just is starting to become a filaprom approaching the limb with some minor activity. No real large prominences today at all. AR2724 & AR2725 have decayed significantly with activity dropping, very slight visible umbra still.

looks like you have a original pst with the orange coating instead of the blue. those have way narrower etalons!

I found it by total chance, so far, the etalon appears quite good and the ITF is excellent too. I may use it for a PST mod eventually with the 6" refractor and if I can pull funds together a C8 Edge later on, to stay modular to move between scopes, and double up with the Quark.

Nice images Marty. Agree with Apollo, that PST looks a good one.
