Prom and AR from Oct16

Post by gabrieli » Wed Oct 17, 2018 9:37 am

I debated whether to haul out my c9.25 to try some higher res imaging on the large prom but a very stiff wind convinced me not to be too ambitious
and setup my Lunt 152 instead. Even that steup had a hard time with the gusts. At one point, I saw the prom disappearing gradually when the power cord came loose on the Quark. This happened in a few seconds but took a long time to get back on band.

Anyway, besides the gusty wind, it was also evident that the seeing was very poor with high frequency jitters in the image. Here are the results
of this session.
