My favorite region on our old good moon through my trusty C14 with 0.99 Strehl optics and good (but not very good) seeing.

I too quite like to explore this region, and the southern highland around Clavius are equally good.

Very interesting to see the rill down the centre of the scar, I don't think I have ever seen that before

Beautiful image.
This region (lunar north) is my favorite area to photograph because of the variety of features. The first thing I looked for was the line down the center of the "canal" to the left and up from Plato (in shadow). I've never been able to resolve this.
