Solar panorama in Ca II K 11th Nov.

Post by Carbon60 »

A quick shot of the Sun in Ca II K (Lunt B600 + Omega) between trees, rooftops and a gap in the clouds...... a desperate bid to try and image at least something! My FD mosaic just didn't work out in the rush as the Sun was quickly disappearing from view. It's THAT time of the year!

The new sunspot which Mark imaged in Ha can be seen here in Ca II K.

Thanks for looking.

Stu.

Beautiful CaK Stuart, but I wouldn't cut down the trees, they are far more valuable to the planet :) I think I will be moving my solar to the upstairs window now.

Nice capture Stu! I sympathise with the tree, i'd arranged with my neighbour that I getting her overgrown conifer cut down and disposed of, however at the last minute she bottled it on me and said no - grrrr! I shall persist.

Hi Stu...

Nice sharp CaK image :bow

I sympathize with everyone on the trees...I still get grief from the bride every know and again over the tree i cut down about 3 years ago to open up a wide expanse of the SW sky :? I transplanted two more to replace it...that should count for something ;)
