Heya,
While it rained yesterday and I sat at work, I was content knowing I couldn't do anything anyways. Figured today would be the same so I went to work early. The sky was clear and no clouds, no rain, and it dropped into the 40's (F) which is really weird in Florida. So I went home early and managed to point the scopes at our minimum sun. I was pleasantly surprised with some rather large prominences (one really big group) and AR2728 was actively flaring with a lot of activity and I watched a filament curl around it over the course of minutes, so material was wiping around really fast. The seeing was pretty bad mid-day, I usually image much earlier in the morning.

AR2728 Flares & throwing Filaments Around:
(Forgive the really rough animation and bad transitions and differing exposures, I didn't plan on doing an animation, the seeing was pretty bad mid-day, but every time I went back and looked at AR2728 it changed, so quickly, the filament moved rapidly in a course of 30 minutes, so I sorted through a few videos and found enough different versions to show the changes over time.)

I saw the flare on gong too. It looked strongest around 21:10 to 21:25 UT. Very nice capture Marty.
