Heya,
Fairly good seeing this morning, despite some nasty clouds and jets flying over. It's a little chilly in Florida today. Cold enough that we got a nice solar halo and some sundogs this morning as things warmed up, then they faded away as the heat rolled in. Well, last night an AR formed late in the rotation towards the limb and towards this morning developed visible umbra for a nice little binary sunspot. It's small, but still much more interesting than the previous small sunspots so far. Fairly active too with lots of filament material movement around the magnetic fields and some minor flaring activity and a bright nice plage around the umbra. There's a fairly large filament floating near the limb. There are not a lot of notable big prominences, but a few smaller ones that are interesting. I also included a blank spot on the limb that simply shows spicules and the limb, as I really find those interesting from the standpoint that there's always something interesting to see in hydrogen alpha even during the peak of the minimum in a cycle, if resolution is high enough.

An excellent session Marty
That AR was starting to show yesterday, but I haven't been back to process any images yet. Thanks for showing whats going on.

Excellent pictures Marty there seems to be a regular little AR appearing most weeks but then it fades as quick as it emerges. I like all the halos too
