halpha sun from December 31

Post by stef41 » Mon Dec 31, 2018 4:31 pm

Good morning, everyone,

a little sun of the day from the Sirene Observatory on the Albion plateau in France where I would be all week: there is plenty of sun, at day and stars, at night! ;) :)

still at the fs60 with its sm40 double stack, glasspath x1.25, BF10 and zwo178mm around 13h20 UT

a little activity this day: a not too bad filament and a pretty prominence.

cordially,
stephane

Wow! superb southern filament and lots of proms, and that looks like a little hot spot in there too :hamster:

Glad you are getting better weather in France, the UK is just cloud cloud cloud all week long.
Happy New Year!

Hi Stephane,

Great image of the Sun on the last day of 2018. That lower filament did really grow big and the Prominence is huge for being in a minimum.

Here in central Mexico since 3 days only Clouds clouds and clouds

Happy New Year

Rainer
