Thanks guys

I have a love-hate relationship with DS etalons. The one I tested in not that good, I spent a long time adjusting everything and I cannot see a big difference

I used to think that but Mark alerted me to the possibility of prominences and surface in the same shot. Same exposure for both (one shot only), increased gamma and at the expense of a slower speed, but a nice result I think.
Robert

PS great shots as always too

Good collection indeed!

I'm guessing you run with low gamma on the camera when you are doing your disk shots Pedro? That's why the SS/DS side by side shot the DS looks much darker but with little difference in contrast to the SS shot. My DS shots I run with neutral gamma, sometimes run higher gamma if the proms are feint. There is no right or wrong way and different ways produce different results.

Thanks Mark

I also tried neutral gamma but I could not adjust the two etalons properly. It's not easy. This DS LUNT etalon (LS50F) belongs to a friend

I always adjust inner etalon first and then get the double stack etalon tuned so there is no banding due to excess tilt. The primary etalon then gets fine tuned accordingly.

Thanks Mark

I will give it a go but my feeling is that I get better results with Single-Stack

I think you do too. That 60 of yours is a nice scope.
