AR2733 Rounding the Limb at 150mm HA & UV-A | Jan 29th 2019

Post by MalVeauX »

Heya,

I woke up to pleasantly decent seeing and clear skies this morning. I started imaging AR2733 as it was rounding the limb around 9:30am with the sun at 23 degrees approximately. I imaged both in 656.28nm & 395nm (white light, UV continuum A) to see the difference at this wonderful angle on the limb with a 150mm aperture.

I am quite impressed with the progress Marty developed last several months. And it is obvious than now his limiting factor is the resolution. And I hope that in a near future even his new 8" aperture will start to limit him. With Florida seeing he, as I am sure, can rise the bar on a new height in amateur imaging of our sun.

Go ahead, Marty!

Very nice indeed, Marty. You’ve come along in leaps and bounds, as we say. Lovely images.
