Sol from the 15th of February 2019 and its reflection.
Hi:
Beautiful sunny day, so before lunch took a couple of CaK and Ha FD´s, and at night the solar reflection on the Moon.
The CaK shot was taken with the Meade 102mm f/9 with a CaK mod, the Ha with the Solarmax 90-DS, and the reflection is a 2 part mosaic with a 102mm f/7 Stellarvue fitted with a full aperture Daystar ERF. The camera was the SKYnyx 2-2.
Thanks for looking and wish you all a sunny and Happy weekend.
Eric.

An excellent set of solar Ha and CaK images Eric, and the lunar mosaic is very sharp. Great work on all

Re: Sol from the 15th of February 2019 and its reflection.
Thank you for the nice comments, much appreciated.
Probably the Moon mosaic looks for most of you too contrasty, but let me tell you why did I recorded and processed it that way. When I was 12 years old and started looking the stars, the Moon photographs taken with the big refractors like the Lick, the Paris and the ones at the world biggest observatories, were taken with very slow high contrast emulsions that made the Moon look dramatic, so the "aficionado" astrophotography community started to use High Contrast Copy films to get our Moon photographs like the profesional did at that time 1950´s. (My, it sounds like a prehistoric issue)
Have a nice weekend,
Eric.

Eric, great images once again. I've been studying the Moon image and love the contrast. I guess I'm a similar vintage ( tri x and copy film with hi contrast paper). Contrast is nice in high sun conditions and really accentuates the ray structures. Lots of detail in the usual suspects as well.

Phil:
As for the shots thanks, but as the vintage I don´t know, I will be 81 in April.
I used to develop with Microdol, Microphen and some other high end developers as you did.
Used Kodak spectroscopic emulsions as also european ones.
Nice to remember those days.
Best regards,
Eric.
