High Res Filament & Plage, Full Disc | HA | Feb 17th 2019

Post by MalVeauX »

Heya,

Lots of clouds & rain lately, weird weather for Florida. But Florida is always weird. I saw some patches between some clouds and the fog broke, I managed to get just a wee bit of data between big clouds and then it was just shut down due to no more sucker holes. I got maybe 20 minutes of sky time I think. But it was sufficient and seeing was good. Today's filament still persists, and the plage around it is bright. There are 4 large prominences on the limb in each quadrant, but I was only able to get some time on one of them before the clouds took over.

Another excellent session Marty, and I have to say I'm most impressed with the detail you are getting in these small proms :bow

Seeing makes it or breaks it, and I'd suspect you are on the better side of the seeing equation ;)
