Sol from the 2nd of March 2019.

Post by eroel »

Hi:
Had a chance to take some CaK and Ha FD´s before lunch from my home observatory.
Used the Meade 102mm f/9 refractor with the PST CaK mod and also the Solarmax 90-DS for the Ha shots.
The camera was the SKYnyx 2-2.
Thanks for looking and wish you a nice and sunny Sunday.
Eric.

Exquisite full disks. You make it look easy even with such variable seeing. Thanks Eric.

Alexandra, Phil, Mark, Pedro, Brian and Maurits:
Thanks for the nice comments.
BTW, this time I did change a bit the way to record the CaK protuberances, played with the Gamma, exposure and Gain to get a better result.
The Meade 102mm f/9 refractor works nicely in CaK, also have tried a SAFIX with this setup and it gives a better image but not much more.
Will try it again for some HR shots.
Wish you all a nice week.
Eric.
