Proms and spot April 9, 2019

Post by Astrophil »

Hi All,

I saw a little sunlight this morning between the clouds and before the rain so I captured some for us. These were taken using the OTI Quantum Six scope, TZ2, SolarSpectrum etalon, and a PGR Grasshopper GX. The first two were without a focal reducer and the scale seemed a bit large. The last two used a reducer.

Very nice indeed, Phil. That’s a cracking sunspot.

Thank you so much for the kind comments. It had been a while since I lugged the bigger scope out. That is a consequence of getting a PST on an automatic solar tracking mount. It makes me lazy.
