Images from April 10th

Post by MapleRidge » Thu Apr 11, 2019 6:36 pm

Hi everyone...

As luck would have it we had a clear day, a beautiful AR on the disk, and I had a brief session to grab some images.

Below is a composite of separate disk and limb images taken through the LS80T (single stack), and the big bonus was the number of detailed proms in the image. Visually they were not nearly as prominent at the eyepiece but really popped out in the image:

Time was limited but I managed to get AR2738 through the modded scope (CR-150/DSII/B1800Ha) with a 3x tele-extender ahead of the camera:

I was hoping to work n the proms but the cloud cover became more of an issue and I had to call it a day. Still, nice to see that big AR and the proms!!!!

Brian

Stu, Matt, and Marty...

Thanks for all your feedback guys...always appreciated :bow

Matt, you are so right...any uptick in activity makes the otherwise featureless disk!
