May 3rd through the clouds

Post by Astrophil »

Woke up to haze and clouds this morning. No blue to be seen. GONG showed some activity on the limb that looked interesting. I suspect the return of AR2738. So, not wanting to expend much energy setting up equipment under these poor conditions, I grabbed the little Questar and waited. Eventually a few opportunities were presented.
Processing was a little heavy handed in hopes of producing something presentable.

Phil

Nice images despite the conditions!

OK, I will install my largest gut today and will see what is going on with the AR12738 return.

Eminently presentable, Phil! Very nice limb shots.

Clear sky here this morning, so I’m hoping to image this for myself, fingers crossed.
