AR2740 & 2741 in Ha with the C8 EdgeHD on May 10

Post by christian viladrich »

Hello,

This morning the large passing cumulus kept respectfully at a distance of the Sun for at least 2 hours. This was quite unexpected since the forecast said it was going to rain.
The current two sunspots are pretty small though the surrounding activity gave nice views.

Super images, Christian. I see you are using the F/35 telecentric: how do you like it compared to the 27.5 ? To use that, the seeing must be exceptional ? Very fine processing for these two images..also using the SS RG

Excellent images. Always great to see what aperture and experience can produce. Thanks.

Thanks guys :-)

The F/35 gives a narrower effective bandpass. The effective bandpass of a 0.3 A filter is about 0.5A at F/27 and 0.4A at F/35 :

I have a test image comparing both F-ratio somewhere on my website.
