Another nice day to image. Revisited AR 12740 and 12741 since thats all there is right now. I watched the light bridge across Ar 12741 change during the session. The two strands appeared to cross early on then straightened out and ran parallel. The spot in AR 12740 is almost covered in Ha but there is still a nice disturbed area to image. Todays images were taken using the Quantum 6 scope, 2x telecentric, Solar Spectrum etalon and a PGR Grasshopper camera.
The first image, a Wl version of AR2741, shows what appears to be the twisted light bridge while the next image in Ha shows the change to more parallel strands. I do enjoy the ever changing features on the Sun. AR 2740 is imaged as are two prom groups making for a nice day under the sun.

Super captures Phil!
I had zero sky visibility all day, mostly rain, total overcast.... just 4 hours North!
Very best,

Excellent images, Phil. One of the great pleasures is seeing the changes on our dynamic Sun. nicely captured.

Terrific set!
I have to remember to be smarter next time and capture some continuum images while the Daystar is heating up.
(I’m assuming that’s how you took the first image.)
Cheers.

Thank you all for taking the time to comment.
Peter, the continuum images were taken while the filter was heating. While it may not be the best wavelength for maximum detail it provides a different view with no additional setup. Also it seems to me the best seeing occurs just before the filter is up to temperature. It is also interesting to see how the etalon heats. Mine is somewhat uneven starting at one corner of the frame and progressing across. I usually have about five minutes before the spicules start to sprout in the warmer corner.
