Sol from the 18th of May 2019.

Post by eroel »

Hello:
Stayed at the rural observatory for the weekend.
Terrible, we still have a really bad contingency due to forest fires around the Mexican Republic. :(
Had to image through a heavy smoke atmosphere, it is hard, specially to get a normal difference between the background level of the prominences.
Thank that my old 6" f/12 "Superplanetary" AP refractor is superb optically, I could not even see with my bare eyes the nearby mountains around the rural observatory.
Thanks for looking, at a quick and not careful processing.
Wish you all a nice new starting week.
Eric.

Alexandra, Christopher, David and Mark:
Thank you for looking and commenting.
Here is a photo taken when I was imaging the Sun, as you can see the Sun casted just a slight shadow due to the smoke in the atmosphere, it was foggy..
Best regards,
Eric.
