Small AR2747 in Ha

It was sunny (for a while anyhow) when I got home from work and I was able to get a few quick shots of the small active region currently in the centre of the solar disk.

Most of my SER files ended up in the bin, but despite average to poor seeing and gusty conditions I did manage to capture a couple of half decent images at two image scales using a 2.5 x and 5x powermate on my 150mm/DS Lunt 35 Ha scope.

It would be nice to have a larger, more active region to image

Hi Valery,

I know from experience that I've got no chance of capturing anything worthwhile in the evening using the RCT. Indeed, I think I was very lucky to have captured anything remotely usable with the 150.
