C8 + Front ERF + TZ x2.7 from St Veran

Post by allhoest »

Hi,

I friend of mine proposed me to take his C8+front ERF to St Veran' observatory, for Ha imaging.

There is almost no activity. The few little active zones vanish very quickly...

The pics are best viewed in full res (Right click and open in a new window, or the like).

Excellent! Glad you guys were doing some Ha up there too. It is quiet at the minute but those are good closeups of the chromosphere. Any pics of the 'scope forest' you had up the mountain?

Thank you.

Unfortunately the weather conditions are not as expected.
St Véran is in the south of France, where a blue sky is expected every day during the summer time.
But in average, half of the days can be used for solar imaging.

Alex,

Nice H-a results.

BTW what is the H-a etalon has been used in this set up?

Thanks.

The etalon is a Solar Spectrum 0.3A
It is approx. 15 years old.

Very nice, indeed, Alex. We as a group should plan a solarchat global event there, or somewhere similar, sometime :)
