Granulation with a T300 und EO 430nm

Post by allhoest »

Hi,

I'm testing a quite old Edmund Optics 430nm.
The observation conditions were very windy; the usable part of the picture is accordingly reduced.

Excellent cells Alex!

I have that same filter, I love it for this. I just wish seeing would cooperate!

Did you use a specific mirror on that 12" to ensure performance at short wavelength?

Very best,

The filter that I used has strange marks on the surface and start oxidize from the rim. But it look still usable.

The primary is desaluminized; it looks to be a good one.
The secondary is "normal", but of high quality (~L/18).
