Sol from the 3rd of Novemaber 2019.

Post by eroel »

Hello:
Still raining, cloudy and hazy, but found some few periods where I could record something.
Used the Meade 102mm f/9 refractor fitted with a PST CaK mod, now with the Venus Baader filter.
I just had a chance of making a CaK "Surface" recording, but I liked the result.
Got an Ha FD's with the Solarmax 90 -DS-BF30.
Thanks for looking and wish you all a nice comming week.
Eric.

Very nice FD’s with lots of detail, Eric. I am amazed you could do all of this with what is going on in your area with the volcano business...

Nice FDs, Eric. No chance of seeing anything of the Sun here.

Alexandra, Franco, Stu, Maurits, Mark and Pedro:
Thanks for commenting, much appreciated.
Best regards,
Eric.
P.S. Franco and Mark, yes the volcano (Popocatépetl) smokes all day, some days it erupts a lot of stones, ashes and smoke that make columns that reach a mile high from the top of the volcano that is 5426meters in altitude above sea level. It is situated about 72Km from Mexico City, but the ashes get up to my home, a couple of days ago I found the cars and roofs of houses full of ashes. :o BTW in the last 24 hours it has exhaled smoke and ashes 118 times, had 7 explosions and several tremors.
