17Nov 3-Band FDs & HR (New Images Added)
The Active Region that was assigned AR2752 on 13 Nov has moved inwards and also grown smaller. By today, the small spots were no longer visible in WL and G-band. The plage is however visible in HA and CAK.
This is my first collage of 3-band full disks with the corresponding high-resolution images. It was made with images taken on 17 Nov from 8am to 11 am local time. Clouds interfferred with the imaging but gaps in between clouds enabled the imaging session to be completed n 3 hours. The full disks for HA, CAK and WL were made from DS Solarscope HA etalons, LUNT B1200K-Line filter and Thousand Oaks WL filter correspondingly. HR images were made using ARIES D-ERF, C11 with X2 barlow. Cameras used were ASI174 BW and Point Grey Scorpion BW cameras. Images were captured using AS!3, processed with ImPPG and lightly touched up with PS.
The following are the individual HR images:

These are terrific Alfred, the CaK close up is particularly superb were these all taken at full aperture?

Thanks Franco, Maurits, Eric, Brian, Mark and Alexandra. We are in the Monsoon period and the seeing has taken quite a hit. I hope to have a good seeing day when I am available to get better images.

Re: 17Nov19 3-Band FDs and HR Images
Glad to hear about your progress with the PST mod.
The H-Alpha image was done at full aperture, while G-Band (it was so bright even with a ND filter) and CAK images were done with a 9" mask. May be I will do a 10 inch mask just to experiment how it turn out for CAK.

Thanks Stardust. It is very cloudy both yesterday and today. I didn't have the opportunity to see the the filament. Hope to catch it soon.Stardust5858 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 6:13 pm Brilliant images, Active Region that was assigned AR2752 now with filament as of 18th November 2019.

@mauritus,
The CAK images are great. - I am still experimenting how much deconvolution and unsharp masking to do in imPPG. I like the soft version better.

Two more images to add:
Besides the granules, the area around the plage is blank in B-Band.

Re: 17Nov 3-Band FDs & HR (New Images Added)
Hi Alexandra,
I have taken a minimalist approach in processing:
a. record about 2,000 frames, if possible at less than 5msec exp.
b. use about 500 selected frames for stacking in AS!3.
c. do not over-sharpen the image in imPPG.
d. do minor level/contrast adjustments in PS.
The resultant processed images show the performance of the equipment in the optical train (e.g. telescope, D-ERF, other etalons/filters, camera) and also the impact of the seeing condition.
As I am not putting much effort to get "nice" images (mainly because I don't have the skills), I believe others who have the same equipment will produce much nicer processed images than mine. Maybe I will do more serious post-processing at a later date, but not now
