All is not lost

Post by Stardust5858 »

After moving over six weeks ago I'm still getting used to areas in my garden to observe from. Failed miserably the yesterday on my front drive not being able to get a clear view as sun is to low. Today I noticed on the side of my home a spot of sunlight. I quickly took my gear out and set up. I think I'd get maybe an hour perhaps two hours if I cut some hedge back. I only just managed to get an image of some small proms before hedge got in the way. I'll be more prepared next time after discovering this gap.

Good to hear that you’ve managed to find a spot. Fingers crossed for some more clear skies.

Hi,

Very good but I think you need to rotate your Sun 90° CCW in order to get North on top. I see East on top now.

Thanks Rainer, I always struggle to know where north is when setting up my camera in the imaging train.

Well done!! finding those gaps takes time and of course there is always a spot of gardening to go with it

We have just done our annual trim of our oak trees, you have to keep them under control :)

That's a beautiful prom pic :bow perhaps today you might get some more

Very nice work. Finding or making gaps is par for the course at this time of the year in the north.

Nice to see that you can take advantage of the gaps and get a very sharp image :bow

Unfortunate you are limited to hunting for gaps through :(
