Newton rings or reflections
I've always thought that my images had Newton rings and I'd need to buy a tilt adjuster to eliminate them.. but I was just about to search to see if you can get a c adapter size tilt adjuster and decided to look up Newton rings first, and what I have doesn't look the same... mine aren't on the disc itself they're in the black area off the disc..does thst mean I'm not exactly tuned, or is it s reflection of some sort?
My equipment is as follows, pst with a celestron Skyris 236m, using a x2 Barlow lense for focus.. I'd like to rectify before proceeding with stage 1 mod...any advice welcomed

Looks like pixel bleed to me - quite simply too overexposed...

I get it when I'm doing surface features too, then they're more circular..I'll post a image up as a expample when I'm home ..
I set my exposures using the histogram..not just guessing it

Possibly dust in the opticals. Are they always in the same area?

Need to see the NR images to comment.

Re: Newton rings or reflections
Sorry all for the late response, work and family issues..
I had a quick look at some of my surface data and can't seem to see it in them so thanks Mark, looking like over exposure..If I get a chance soon I try at a reduced exposure..I normally set the histogram at 80/90% for proms and the exposure higher than the gain as I find too much gain produces too much noise.. does that sound about right?

Re: Newton rings or reflections
The dust I can deal with as I thought it was on the camera sensor..it not..
Low resloution maybe as it's 1 frame taken with my phone off a laptop screen.. thanks for the feedback but it's not what I'm talking about..
