Full Disc 17 January 2020

Post by rsfoto »

Hi,

Just enough time to get a session of 9 Avi with just 250 frames each. Clouds > free > Clouds

While writing this trying to get 4 Avi in White light :o

Hi,

A bit later here the White light image. The old cycle 24 spot is not very visible and perhaps due to the atmospheric conditions not being clear as usual. :?

Nicely done, Rainer. WL is as blank as a Billiard ball. Roll on cycle 25!

Superb discs Rainer! :hamster: :bow I see the faculae of cycle 24 AR, it is probably very weak so fizzling out. I have a new challenge for you now, polar faculae at the north and south pole are only visible during solar minimum. I see some nice bright points at the north of your WL image and some in the south.

Hi Alexandra,

I really appreciate all your comments and I have learned a lot from you in the last weeks. Yes, the faculae in my WL image are visible in the same way as from the SDO images.

Yes I have seen little bright spots on North and South Pole. Very interesting. I will need to play a bit with my setup in order to see if I get more details in WL.

I always compare my WL images with SDO in order to see how real my images are.

Thank you very much :bow2

Rainer
