5.06.2020 Wind, rain, bad seeing, cloud AND a dust bunny?

Post by Rusted »

My solar imaging today [so far] was limited to three, short, 500 frame, video captures.
Only one produced anything worth processing.
Then my laptop died! Light was on but nobody was at home!
Saved by holding down the start button to remove static. Phew! :D
I could probably have pushed these a little harder in ImPPG:

Thanks. It must be the seeing conditions.
I seem able to push them much harder in the processing.

The sun has several areas of interest today:
Huge dark area [filament-like] near to central in southern hemisphere.
Small bright spot NE near the limb.
Ageing disturbance central in the north.
I have images of all of them.

Excellent images Rusted, showing so much detail and a changing AR environment there too...

Cheers

Nice image Rusted, I prefer the un-pushed version.

Thanks Mark. :bow

Interesting response to my two sets of images.
I thought the first too soft. The second lot much more detailed. :D

Very nice. I especially love the colored one on the second set of images.

Thanks. :bow

I keep wondering if that "tornado" was real or just an illusion caused by an overlying filament?
