The Sun - 5th June 2020

Post by David_The_Bears_Fan » Fri Jun 05, 2020 1:03 pm

Somewhat dynamic weather here today so it's a case of grab-it-while-you-can and run for shelter before the rain gets here  Managed a quick white light visual session and then stuck the Bresser on the CG-4 to try and catch an image. Patience paid off and I managed 2 x 1000 frame captures, one in WL and the other in Ca-K.

Apologies, orientations are all over the place :? More haste less speed as they say!
Unfortunately the more I use the Bresser for this type of grab-and-go imaging session the less I am impressed with the results. True the seeing wasn't great today but looking back at previous images I am inclined to feel it may be time to try a different short-focus frac for the purpose.

Well done David and you've captured the 3-spots (JUST) that I captured in WL at 1400GMT.
No worries about the directions, as I think we get the "drift" !!

Terry

Hi David,

Great images. The only nitbit is that the WL image should be mirrored vertical so it fits into the Tilting Sun grid. The CaK image is correct ;)
